I want to sum up all the song that has this chord sequences:
I-IV-V-IIIM-VIm-II(M/m)-IV/V-V(7)
Here is an easy example. If the song's root chord is C major, the song's chorus will have this sequence of chords:
C - F - G - E (or E7) - Am - Dm (or D7) - F (or Gsus) - G (or G7)
Or any kind of progressive chords, as long as the bass progression sticks to that sequences.
I figure out that there are so many pop songs that adopt this sequence. I can say that this sequence is simple but nice to hear. There is a strickening harmony behind the simple progression, especially if the song is about about love or affection.
Some songs that I know that has this sequence:
1. Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You (George Benson) in C#
2. Hard to Say I'm Sorry (Chicago) in E
3. In Love with You (Jacky Cheung) in Eb, F#, A and C.
4. Anata Ga Ita Mori (Jyukai) in E
I forget the other songs. But if you know more songs that have similar sequences, please let me know!
